God paid the death penalty in order for the demands of justice to be met. He was personally present in Christ, reconciling His creation back to Himself. This is something that shouldn’t be taken lightly. The Creator of this universe took a chance on losing everything to redeem us so that we can spend eternity with Him. Because of this great gift, we should stay as close to Jesus as we possibly can on a daily basis and get to know Him intimately.
